This section defines URLs of http://creately.com that can be used in your website to link to Creately and its resources

Creately Application URL

The Creately application can be accessed through your browser using a simple URL. The following details provide ways of loading the Creately application and its resources in various different forms.

URL: http://creately.com/creately-start

This URL will directly start the Creately Application in the browser. If a user is logged into Creately.com, the user will see the logged in user's documents and projects. If there is no user logged into creately.com, this URL will take you to the Creately Application in Demo Mode. Below are a list of variables that can be used to change the application experience.

GET Parameters

Parameter Description Can use with
diagid The Creately Document ID. You can provide a valid Document ID to be opened when the application loads. Note that the logged in user will need to have access to the given document rev, closewindow, closeredirect, noclose
Example:

rev Document Revision number. This can only be used along with "diagid" to provide a revision number of the given document to be opened once the application loads. Given number should be a valid revision number. The logged in user will need to have access to the document given. diagid, closewindow, closeredirect, noclose

http://creately.com/creately-start?diagid=gc7qvpsj1&rev=5
diagid=new The "diagid" parameter with the value "new" can be used to automatically create a new empty diagram when Creately loads. closewindow, closeredirect, noclose

tempid The unique ID of a valid Creately Template. You can use this to create a new document from a template. Once Creately finishes loading the application will open a new document loaded with this template for the logged in user closewindow, closeredirect, noclose

projid The unique ID of a valid Creately Project. You can use this to open a project when the application loads. Note that the logged in user will need to have access to the given project closewindow, closeredirect, noclose

closewindow=true This is a parameter that can be specified to indicate if you want the browser window to be closed when the user exits the Creately Application. This will only work if the value is "true". This comes in handy if you wish to load Creately in a pop up window that closes when the user closes the application. For this parameter to work properly, browser window that runs Creately needs to be popped up using a script. An example JavaScript function which does this is given below:

noclose=true This is a parameter that can be specified to indicate if the close button needs to be hidden within Creately. This will only work if the value is "true". This can be used when Creately is opened in a environment where the exit is not applicable (i.e IFrame) diagid, rev, tempid, projid

closeredirect This is a parameter that can be specified to redirect the user to a specific page when user exits Creately. The value needs to be a URL that is URL Encoded. diagid, rev, tempid, projid

http://creately.com/creately-start?diagid=gc7qvpsj1&closeredirect=http%3A%2F%2Fsomedomain.com%2Fsome%2Fspecific%2Flocation.

Browser Login URL

This URL can be used to login the user to Creately.com using a Temporary Redirect Token (TRT). A TRT can be obtained using the Browser Login Creately API method. When a redirect is done with the valid TRT, the user will be logged in to the account associated with the TRT. If a redirect parameter is given the user will be forwarded to the given URL. If not provided the user will be redirected to the Creately Application. For more details see API Browser Authentication

Public Diagrams

Creately public diagrams are accessible to everyone. You can simply see a list of all the public diagrams that are available through the Public Diagram Index page. Using the following URL's you can access the public diagrams at any time.

  • Download a public diagram image simply by replacing the "diagram_id" with a valid public diagram ID.

  • View the diagram and its details in a well formed page simply by replacing the "diagram_id" with a valid public diagram ID
